Belzaii - Montagne Sainte-Victoire (2019)

Gypsy jazz quartet born in spring 2015 around original compositions of his soloist guitarist, Olivier Tassëel. With Cédric Meunier on the soprano saxophone, Nicolas Gavotto on the rhythm guitar, and Anthony Gutierrez on the double bass, the band finds its balance. The writing of the songs draws its inspiration in a broad sense: swing, be-bop, klezmer, bossa, musette, baroque, modal, ... The idea of the project is to open the doors to all the influences that nourish each individuality that compose the training to better surprise. After more than a hundred concerts and the recording of a first album in 2017, "Quai Saint-Georges", Belzaii today defends on stage a music that is both demanding and accessible, generous and sincere, and is currently preparing a second album for 2019 ...
