ZONA SUD - Contaminazioni (2019)

"Contaminations" is a musical journey that, starting from smooth jazz and fusion, crosses various musical genres such as blues, samba, bossa nova and funky, all characterized by classical and popular Neapolitan music. The band ZONA SUD has a very personal sound with marked sound influences typical of the Mediterranean. Among the eight tracks there is also a track dedicated to the "land of fires" entitled "Land of Fire", a song that perfectly summarizes the spirit of the group, deeply linked to the territory and sensitive to social problems.

"Contaminazioni" is the first record of the Salerno-based ZONA SUD group, a record that deserves to be heard for various reasons including quality, creativity and passion as well as being a project with a special value, having had difficult moments for the its realization that lasted more than a year, dedicated to the musician of the group Guglielmo Saracca (bass player) who died prematurely, but managed to record all the bass lines.

The album was recorded at B&D Record, with Mario Schettini (piano and keyboards), Guglielmo Saracca (bass), Vincenzo Passaro (guitar), Francesco Bavosa (Sax) and percussionist Davide Cantarella, for all the rhythms (drums). and percussion) and the artistic supervision of the musician Alessandro La Corte.
