Christine Fellows - The Last One Standing (2001)

Blame it on a $200 piano and a seemingly endless supply of scotch and winter. Last One Standing takes it's name from a home 4-track recording that was written and recorded almost simultaneously. It's mostly about prevailing. Christine's jubilant re-acquaintance with the piano carries an underlying theme in these songs. Her debut showed that she can skew perspectives of the 3 minute pop song idiom which charmed critics and audiences alike. She is back here by a wide array of instruments, adding extra dimensions to the proceedings.
