Claire Martin is getting deeper and deeper into jazz, there is not a trace of pop here, and she is getting better and better. I like her, she is a real grown up jazz singer now. Her voice has become darker and more smoky, what I love. She reminds me of Diana Krall now. Her interpretations of the Shirley Horn material are very pleasing and exciting, sometimes extraordinary, the musicians do a great job accompanying her, contributing some great solos, playing relaxed ballads and mid-tempo songs, two great originals. The sound is perfect, rich of colour, very good soundstage and imaging, air for the instruments to breath, very dynamic, brilliant. There are some real highlights on this disc but it will capture you till the end.
