The Trend is back in action with their new album, Wood Seats Lane. The power/pop punk band is flowing with new material. It's the finished album that should have been released in 1979. The Trend is currently an obscure Salford gem. With an international and United Kingdom fan base, the band have just released Wood Seats Lane. A story telling the history behind The Trend. There's a lot of power pop magic that you won't get in today's bands. The songs still as fresh as they would be on the brink of 1979. Everyone will remember hits like Polly and Wendy, Teenage Crush and Cool Johnny. I mean, you can currently find the album in most Manchester records stores. Most music produced by this band has a fast tempo, catchy lyrics and a charm that you can't just find anymore. The commentary gives a good idea and context behind the band. I currently think the explosive drums and swinging guitars add the instrumental backing with Rev Vocals on point as always. The re-mastering of most these tracks. I think the band shows how outstanding The Trend really was. I think if you get a chance, you should pick up this album. It's not just for the historical factor, but for the charm in their power pop that no one can actually perform anymore. These Salford lads have created the missing album that everyone wants. It proves what The Trend album could've been back in 1979. However, it's finally nice to have it, and it would be perfect for anyone's collection. The jumpy chorus and tranquil beat within the band clearly encapsulates Wood Seats Lane. The perfect album for anyone's collection. The heavy guitar and smooth rhythm style impact a lot of these songs and lay a solid foundation, with the impacting and poetic rev adding the vocals and support of the backing vocals to add to the final push. However, the fresh new songs and re-mastering will echo through the album. This album will take anyone back to 1979, to the Salford scene with fast cars and playing at the Duke of Wellington.
