Tanya Tucker - Love Me Like You Used To (1987/2019)

After the outstanding success of Tanya Tucker's comeback record 'Girls Like Me', Tanya returned with a second album in 1987 that proved her return to good music and chart success was no fluke.

'Love Me Like You Used To' produced a string of hit singles, including the title track, a heartfelt ballad that topped the country charts, the number one collaboration with Paul Davis (who penned many songs for Tanya during this period, including the title song) and Paul Overstreet, 'I Won't Take Less Than Your Love', and the feisty rocker 'If It Don't Come Easy'. The album, loaded with ballads, entered the top ten Country Albums Chart.

The songs on here are all of a high standard, but I have a real soft spot for the up-tempo 'Alien', which is a clever little gem, a quirky and wacky song with a tune that you just can't get out of your head.

Tanya was really on the comeback trail when she gave her fans 'Love Me Like You Used To', it's a great album, and one that started to convince those few silly people that Tanya was a serious adult artist, and not just a talented teen from the past who could belt out a good song.
