Harpist Rachel Talitman performs the world premiere recordings of four Concertos for Harp by Josef Antonín Stepan.
Josef Antonín Stepan (1726 1797) was a Bohemian classical era composer and an important figure in the musical life of eighteenth century in Vienna. The original harp concertos on this CD are dedicated to his harpsichord and harp student Marie Antoinette, who later became the Queen of France. The works have plenty of charm and are accessible, whilst also being surprising at times. World Premiere Recording.
