Little Bobby's music interest is a family affair. From his father to his Grandfather "Minnesota Music Hall Of Fame" to all his cousins that all play something. Its no surprise that Little Bobby is one himself.
Little Bobby's first instrument was the drums. He got his first set from his aunt and uncle. His passion soon changed and he was turned on by the sound of the guitar. His first influences were the blues style of Jimmy Page and Jimmy Hendrix. Of course there is going to be diversity in this story. Little Bobby was some what of a wild child partying drugs and the life. Little Bobby ended up serving time in prison on two different occasions. That's were the story of the blues begins.
While doing time, Bobby met another Indian brother, who one day told Bobby, "You have a blues voice". Already being self taught the improvising style of the blues seemed like a natural fit. Upon his release from prison Little Bobby started a band called The Storm. After getting a cheap recorder he laid down his first blues cut "Hey There Storm" and got his first radio spin on "the Riverside Blues Show" From there Little Bobby was hooked on the blues.
In 2005 Little Bobby released his first CD "Before The Storm" Later that year he landed a spot on the Last Ride Blues Festival in his home town of Thief River Falls Minnesota. Witch featured blues legend Buddy Guy. What a way to kick off a blues career.
Since Then Little Bobby has released a hand full of blues music. The CD "Down, Dirty & Mean" in 2007 "I've Got A Woman" in 2008 a live DVD in 2009 "A Night At The Empire" At the end of 2009 Little Bobby hooked up with Nora Jean Bruso. Nora Jean and Little Bobby started doing concerts and festivals in the us and Europe including the RAWA Blues Festival in Katiwice Poland and Chicago Blues Festival where the Chicago Sun Times rated Nora Jean & Little Bobby the number one band to see. In 2011 the two put together the CD "Good Blues" witch Little Bobby not only played on but wrote and produced. The album not only appeared on the blues charts but helped push Nora Jean to her 7th BMA nomination for "best Traditional Female Blues Performer"
