Undertaker's Circus was a band from Lillestrøm that existed between 1967 and 1976. Despite its name, Undertakers Circus was one of the earliest Norwegian rock bands that sang in Norwegian, and a number of the lyrics had a political sting, among other things put the band melody to two poems. by Rudolf Nilsen, while others addressed Norwegian history and Norse mythology. Musically, the band was inspired by bands like Blood, Sweat & Tears and Chicago and played rock with full blown ranks.

The band's first single was the English-language "Little Boy Blue", with the b-page "Gotta Get Away", released in 1968. Then it went four years before the band's next release, the single "Riil contra music" / "Menuet silicosis", released in 1972, which ironized over the musical snobbery, and, despite the fact that the musical is not typical of the band, was to become the band's biggest hit. Musically, this song was based on "Nashville Cats" by The Lovin 'Spoonful, and it was also included on the compilation album Norwegian on top 2. This was followed by the debut album Ragnarock. The album was recorded in February 1973 with Johnny Sareussen as producer, and released later that year. The debut album, with the single and its b-side as a bonus track, was remastered and reissued by Pan Records in 2004. One of the songs on the album was "The Princess of the Nets", where the text was written by Thor Sigbjørn Greni and the music of Eigil Berg. This song appeared eight years later on Berg's solo album Alhambra as "Queen of the Night", and in 1999 as "Long Distance Man" on the album Electric Psalmbook with BigBang - with new text written by band leader Øystein Greni, son of Thor Greni.

In 1975, the band's second LP, Brød & Circus, came this time as Undertakers Circus (now written with k). On this, only four of the eleven members who had been with Ragnarock were still involved. Producer for the record was Nils Bjarne Kvam. Shortly afterwards, the band was dissolved. Since then, the band has had several reunion concerts.
