This latest opus of Montreal based folk duo Coco Melies is a case of "pleasure increases with usage". The first time I listened to it, I felt the musical arrangements and voices were nice, as it is always the case with Coco Melies, but no more than that. Then, as the following listenings sinked in, I came to realize this is album is actually an important contribution to contemporary folk/indie/pop music...A must for anyone who loves that type of music! The songs are better appreciated when you listen to the whole album, i.e. "the old way", in the sequence that they are proposed.
