Alberto Capelli - Trane Experience (2018)

The trio interprets and stages the music of John Coltrane, one of the greatest jazz character of the twentieth century.
The reference to the great composer/saxophonist highlights the desire to explore music in its deepest and most archetypal elements, building dangerous and fragile bridge between territories and genres, mixing tradition with innovation, combining improvisation with the score.
"The wise one" and "Out of this world" are part of a spiritual plan of virginal beauty. Far from setting out/offering/performing/approaching the repertoire philologically, this electric band explores the possibilities of sound through a constant dialog among its members and the multifarious experiences, for a musical research that is also timbre research. Then horrid roars emerge from the strings and the engines that move time.
