Deuxième volet de la collection Mixatac, Essaouira est plus électronique que son prédécesseur. C’est le trio marseillais Nasser qui lui donne cette touche unique. Mélangée au hip-hop en langue arabe de Komy et aux accents profonds de la musique africaine du Maâlem Hassan Boussou, elle aboutit à un résultat inédit, urbain et ethnique à la fois. Mixatac La collection
Depuis 2008, Mixatac créer une carte sonore. De Bamako à Essaouira en passant par Beyrouth, le voyage est cohérent, dépaysant, enrichissant. Les musiques locales traditionnelles se confrontent aux machines électro, se fondent en trip-hop inspiré. Ces cartes sont réunies aujourd’hui en une compilation, sorte de guide du routard musical, dans lequel on aime forcément à se perdre. Au travers de Mixatac semble se dessiner une image qui dépasse le cadre de la musique. Cette compilation montre l’alliance heureuse de l’ancien et du nouveau, des traditions et de la modernité. Des contraires qui s’avèrent être parfaitement homogènes, quand ils sont mélangés avec talent et envie. (NG)
