A progressive band whose disc reveals a blouse. It has been imitated. The opening track, "Biography", presents some good moments of flute and small doses of guitar; "Tell You I'm Gone" begins with Latin rhythms and goes through several time changes; "Fair Maiden" opens with a sacred organ and includes nice flute parts in the middle and at the end; "Vile Lynn" has opening chorus, strong guitar playing and excerpts from a lovely violin. And the final track, "Vegetable", is a long jazzy middle set, with guitar, tenor sax, bass and drum solo. The album also contains covers by B.B. King ("That's Wrong Little Mama"), Little Walter ("Mean Old World") and Spirit ("Gramophone Man").
Rik Kenton joined (soon) Roxy Music. He also recorded some CDs in the mid-1970s and played on Neil Harrison's solo album in 1974.
The song "Vile Lynn" was included in the 1969 "Progressive Music" (LP) compilation (Vernon Joynson, in The Tapestry of Delights - The Comprehensive Guide to British Music of the Beat, R & B, Psychedelic and Progressive Ages 1963-1976. Borderline Productions, Telford, 2006, p.1633).
