Marina Rebeka, whose “ravishing” singing in Rossini’s Petite Messe solonelle graced the recently released recording conducted by Antonio Pappano, has recorded her first operatic recital for Warner Classics.
Mozart Arias features the young Latvian soprano as Donna Anna and Donna Elvira (Don Giovanni), the Countess (Le nozze di Figaro), Fiordiligi (Così fan tutte), Konstanze (Die Entführung aus dem Serail), Elettra (Idomeneo), and Queen of the Night and Pamina (Die Zauberflöte). Supporting her is the Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra under the baton of Speranza Scappucci.
The leading young Latvian soprano Marina Rebeka sings a great & varied selection of arias from favourite Mozart operas, including The Magic Flute, The Marriage of Figaro and Don Giovanni. She is joined by the Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra - our own Andrew Cornall has long been a champion of Rebeka - and the conductor Speranza Scappucci.
