The Boogie (The Five Dollar Sugar) - 2015 International Blues Challenge (2014)

THE BOOGIE is a three piece Blues, Rock N Roll, Alternative band based out of Tulsa,Oklahoma. A lively form of Rock N Roll, based on the Blues and the name gives it all away. These boys can boogie!

The Boogie are the winners of The 11th Annual Blues Society of Tulsa Blues Challenge and will be representing Tulsa, Oklahoma in The International Blues Challenge in Memphis, TN. early 2015. They have currently released their first self titled, self produced E.P., a single available on Digital Distribution entitled, 'Take Me Back To Tulsa' as well as a special limited edition 2015 International Blues Challenge album. While working on their first full length, fully produced album, they are planning on releasing an Acoustic E.P. as well as a Single of their track entitled, 'Gotcha'! All proceeds will go toward funding the album release. Release date is soon to be announced.

THE BOOGIE was brought to life by three of Tulsa's most talented musicians, Joshua Yarbrough, Dusty
Robison and Joshua Eatmon. They met each other at a local jam, started their own group and never looked
back! Starting off as a power trio these boys accomplished a lot in a little time. They went from
playing local bars to performing at B.B. King's in The 2013 International Blues Challenge in Memphis, TN in
less than one year of being together. The first album they released entitled, Joshua Yarbrough and The
Five Dollar Sugar, won The 2012 Best Album of the Year from The Tulsa Blues Society. They have three full length
albums, one live album, one acoustic album, one self titled E.P. , one single and several bootleg E.P.'s under their belt already. Needless to say, this group will not go unheard.

The special thing about the boogie is that they bring a vintage sound to a modern fan base. THE BOOGIE's sound emphasizes on the blues from all regions including, Delta, Chicago and Texas Blues, by blending it and making it their own Boogie Woogie, Blues, Rock N Roll sound.

THE BOOGIE has a little something for everyone. Taking electric Blues to a whole new level and leaving audience's wanting more. With new material, merchandise and a bigger fan base, a regional tour is in the making and the band
