Wilson McKinley - Spirit Of Elijah (Reissue) (1971/2008)

The pioneers of Jesus-rock, another good page in the chronicle of psychedelia, liege, however, more on their native Northwest coast, where they are generally considered the first secular group to leave carnal pleasures and engage in music inspired by Christian writings.
The Wilson McKinley was formed in Spokane, Washington in 1968 and consisted primarily of Mike Messer (vocals, guitar), Don Larson (bass, vocals), Randy Wilcox (guitar) and Tom Slipp (drums), playing quite secular psychedelia even, like, there is a LP with early records). What happened next is unknown, but they turned to God. The albums were recorded non-commercial in principle, distributed through announcements in periodicals (that's why the difficulties with their discography, everywhere different data). The ideological inspirer of the band and the author of most of the compositions of Mike Messer (the rest are covers, at least on "Spirit Of Elijah").
