Yura Yunita - YURA (2014)

Indonesian Musician Yura Yunita is the stage name of singer/songwriter Yura Yunita Rachman. Born in Bandung, taught herself to play piano, she listened to various kind of musics such as jazz, blues, funk, groove, and RnB. She began writing songs at age 15, and by 2013, in need of a creative outlet while attending communication school, performed for the first time on TV. She soon becomes the brand ambassador of Musik Bagus label and released her debut album “Yura” in 2014 which listed at number six on Rolling Stone Indonesia’s Best Album of 2014 . The album with such smash hits as “Balada Sirkus”, “ Cinta Dan Rahasia”, “ Berawal Dari Tatap” and “Intuisi” approved national success and Yura increased her visibility through touring, a guest spot on various music festivals and appearances on national tv shows. For three years in a row Yura was nominated in the categories of “Female Singer of the Year”, At Indonesian Choice Awards in 2015, 2016 & 2017. In 2015 Yura also nominated in the categories of “Breakthrough Artist of the Year”, and “Song of the Year” for the song “Cinta Dan Rahasia”. That same year she was also nominated in the categories of “Best Soul/R&B Album” at Anugerah Musik Indonesia and “Best New Female Artist” at Anugerah Planet Muzik along with other nominees from the three countries (Indonesia, Malaysia and Singapore).
