The band's debut album from Chicago (created in 1970 under the name Pentwater River). The repertoire of the beginning ensemble consisted mainly of popular compositions The Doors, The Who, Steppenwolt, Blind Faith, etc. Gradually, Pentwaler River's programs began to feature works of his own composition, in the sound of which the influence of early Yes, King Crimson and Genesis was guessed. The Naevanne team declined to Pentwater, and in 1972 at Penthouse's Hunters Studios in Barrington, Ill., Pentwater recorded their very first songs: A Ballad Starts, No One Lell To Save and The Three Journeys. The beginning group was interested in a small label Dharma Records, with which in February 1974 the musicians signed a contract for the release of four albums. But this did not go further than this, since soon this firm was bankrupt. Not despaired, Pentwater continues to work in the studio, where they record a few more things, and in June they are opening for Journey. In April 1976, Pentwater performed in front of a crowd of 3,000 to warm up Starcastle and Rush. In May of the same year, five new songs were released from the pen of the musicians at the Golden Voice Studios, which were included in the debut LP Pentwater, released in December 1977 on its own music label. Having played several more successful concerts in the summer of 1978 and after unsuccessful attempts to sign a contract with some major label, Pentwater members decide by majority of votes on self-dissolution ... On this CD, along with the original record, bonuses were recorded that were to be released on the record, but then the format of recording did not allow.
