SnakeFoot a recent Los Angeles transplant from the woods of Burlington, Vermont met Dome of Doom Label Owner Wylie Cable while playing LA’s Beat Cinema’s 2017 New Years Party. After a studio visit with Wylie SnakeFoot spent a year crafting “Retronyms” in his home studio. The album is a mixture of meticulously programed drums, dusty twisted vinyl acapellas, thick synth lines from a trusty/untrusty Moog Realistic MG-1 synth, and a myriad of constant collaborators.
Drummer/Producer/DJ SnakeFoot spent 2017 crafting his full length album for Dome of Doom as well as putting a seven piece live band together to play interpretations of his compositions. That summer was filled gigs states side DJing / performing with the band as well as two international ventures to play in Europe and Mexico. While exploring Mexico with a crew of album collaborators (Steph Heaghney, Brian, Raymond, Nick Campolo, & Haley Fenn) SnakeFoot played a live improvisation drums / saxophone set with Raymond at ¡TRUEQUE! festival, as well as a solo DJ set.
The last year has been really encouraging knowing that the produced music can translate successfully into captivating live compositions open to improvisation and a rotating cast of players.
