Deniece Williams - Song Bird (1977) [2010, Remastered & Expanded Edition]

Deniece first made an impression as part of Stevie Wonder's back-up trio WONDERLOVE in the early seventies. In 1976 she released her debut album This Is Niecy which featured the mega-hit FREE which topped the UK chart. SONG BIRD was her sophomore set, released on Columbia in 1977. The album was again produced by Earth, Wind & Fire's Maurice White. The album was released on CD in a very limited run in the nineties. Copies of this issue fetch hundreds on dollars on eBay. Featured are the hit single BABY BABY MY LOVE'S ALL FOR YOU, Deniece's inspirational GOD IS AMAZING and the UK Soul underground favourite THE BOY I LEFT BEHIND. This newly remastered edition features extensive liner notes, an interview with Deniece and a bonus track promotional single version.
