Véronique Sanson - Comme ils l'imaginent (1995)

Taken from a concert in the summer of 1994, this album serves as an excellent career overview for singer/songwriter Véronique Sanson. Her gorgeous pop songs are performed by a number of guest musicians, including Marc Lavoine, Alain Chamfort, Michel Fugain, and others. But each song features Sanson somewhere, whether on keyboards or backing vocals or even right out in front singing. Her songs are given a moodier, more modern approach by the musicians here, creating some new versions of songs that were previously hindered by their dated production. Overall, this is a very rewarding concert that pays tribute to an excellent musician who has gone too long without international credit.
