The band was formed in 1967 by Ted Oberg and quickly recorded their first single, written by Golden Earring guitar player George Kooymans, and played shows as a support for Fleetwood Mac. After several line-up changes the band recorded their debut full length ‘Hell’s Session’ to raving reviews, comparing the band with other white blues greats such as John Mayalls Bluesbreakers and Fleetwood Mac. Come 1970 more line-up changes take place, and though basically still a bluesrock band, their sound get a wider perspective with their second album being influenced by progressive and hard rock. The title track ‘Wang Dang Doodle‘ is released as a single and with its Deep Purple like riff becomes a modest hit song. That success gets them gigs throughout Europe. In 1971 some personal tragedies take place causing yet another line-up change. However, that doesn’t stop the band from recording their second full length album ‘Bamboozle’ with the track ‘L.B. Boogie’ becoming an international hit song.
