Tin Man - Acid Acid Acid (2018)

Originally released back in 2005 (and called Acid Acid at the time), this seminal album by Tin Man now gets a timely reissue. Focusing, as the title suggests, on Johannes Auvinen's explorations of the 303, it moves from the gurgling, low slung "Flip" into the jacking rhythm and doubled-up claps of "Forever", before the tough drums of "Confusion's In" and the searing "Acid Supreme" kick in. Auvinen is also adept at teasing out more minimal and deeper iterations - as "Giving It To You" and "Love and Sex" demonstrate respectively- but his real talent lies in knocking out primal, 303-heavy jams. Making this release all the more essential are the inclusion of previously unreleased tracks, which warrants the extra Acid in the title.
