Canadian singer, songwriter and guitarist Judy Brown writes and performs her unique blend of original blues, country and rockabilly songs, telling stories about love, loss and resiliency.
The Alberta-born singer has performed nationally from coast to coast and recently relocated to the BC Interior from Toronto. While in Toronto she formed The Judy Brown Band with award-winning bassist Gary Kendall, of Downchild fame, and performed at Toronto music clubs, festivals and appeared on radio and TV.
When family commitments took priority, Brown focused on acoustic music, working with Juno and Maple Blues award-winning guitarist Teddy Leonard. She appeared as guest vocalist and co-writer on Gary Kendall’s Dusty and Pearl album, with the acclaimed song “Lucky at Love”. Brown later returned to electric guitar and co-formed The Wilmas, a 4 piece powerhouse, all-female blues and rock group.
Judy Brown’s long-overdue solo debut album "Say It" highlights Brown’s formidable voice delivering her sincere and occasionally humorous self penned songs with solid backing from her long-time, award-winning musical friends bassist Gary Kendall and guitarist Teddy Leonard.
