Sedge - Psychochondriac (2018)

Looking to follow up from the success of their 2015 full length album ‘Selective Reasoning’, Toronto band Sedge have returned with their sophomore LP entitled ‘Psychochondriac’. Slated to be released in the early winter of 2018, ‘Psychochondriac’ marks Sedge’s heaviest and most concerted release to date. Produced and mixed by Josh Korody and Dylan Frankland at Toronto’s own Candle Recording studio; this album pays homage to a variety of rock influences while still showcasing the bands knack for original songwriting. With powerful fuzzed out guitars, thick pouring bass, and heavy hitting drums fused with explosive vocals; ‘Psychochondriac’ guarantees to not disappoint rock fans of any decade.

Established in 2014 by brothers James and Mitch Heron (vocals and drums), Sedge solidified their official 5 piece line up with the help of friends BrianRegan (bass), Rob Coffey and Dean Crone (guitars). With a DIY attitude over the last few years, Sedge have played some of Toronto’s favourite venues, toured throughout Ontario, and branched out to Quebec and Montreal in the summer of 2017. Along the way, Sedge have been featured on multiple music platforms including live radio interviews and blogs, receiving great reviews everywhere they go.

The first single from the new LP, titled ’Not Ready to Die’, allows the listeners to witness the evolving sound Sedge has gained over the years; and is accompanied by a music video directed by Sedge’s Mitch Heron (once again showcasing the DIY philosophy). The video transmits the raw sound and energy of this band, signalling that ‘Psychochondriac’ is an album to look out for in 2018.
