Gabriel - La Noche (2017)

Hot on the heels of last year's well received The Sound of Love mini-album, Gabriel delivers another expansive collection via regular home Emerald & Doreen. It contains no less than five previously unheard productions, plus a quartet of remixes. Highlights include the jaunty, synth-heavy nu-disco warmth of opener "La Noche", the Italo-disco and acid-powered late night psychedelics of "La Luna" and the blissful, almost Balearic modern boogie-meets-deep house shuffle of "Tobogan". Drew Miller heads up the remix line-up, first giving "La Noche" a sleazier, late night feel, before doffing a wide-brimmed hat to Giorgio Moroder and Patrick Cowley on his standout remix of "Elvador".
