Tales Of H.P. Lovecraft is a collaboration between The Duke St Workshop (Lexicon Of Paragon Pines/Cabin 28) and regarded horror actor Laurence R Harvey (Human Centipede II & III/The Editor).

The album contains two stories (From Beyond & The Hound) by the king of cosmic horror H.P. Lovecraft. Lovecraft can certainly lay claim to laying the foundations of modern horror, without him the golden age of horror films in the late 20th century would have been very different. The setting is a perfect meeting ground for both actor and group, both of which bonding over their mutual love of Horror history.

The stories were approached in the same way as a screenplay to create a soundtrack in the mind to rival the narrative/visual thrust of film. Exploring emotional undercurrents and dimensions not present in the original works, these new readings were adapted and edited for record by poet and group friend John “The Baptist” Togher. The stories are read with empathy and great skill by Laurence R Harvey who weaves through the material with consummate dexterity. The music takes in Industrial, library electronics, 80’s Krautrock and hushed Satie like piano meditations alongside the groups established sound palette.
