Outsiders - Songbook (1967)

The founders and composers of all material groups Ronnie Splinter and Wally Tax started in 1960 in a pop-bit group "Jimmy Revon & Outsiders". When in late 1964 Jimmy Revon (aka Leendert Groenhof) group disbanded, Splinter Tax and decided to continue, but, unlike Holland awash bit to play the music that they like - "garage rock." A new group called unpretentious "Outsiders". (Actually, these "losers" were two dozen, most famous, perhaps, more pop-bit Americans 60 and London punks early 70s). In November 1965 they work as "open" concert band on the second Dutch speech "Rolling Stones". Within a half years have earned an excellent reputation as a "wild" live band, so they often refuse to include "prefabricated" concerts.
Throughout its history, released only three "full-length" album, the "Songbook" (1967) - only with a collection of singles that came before then. Their debut self-titled album (the first party - the studio, the second - live recordings) sold quite well, and the single "Summer Is Here" entered the Dutch Top Ten. Suddenly, in late 1968 the band changed course and instead of pure "garage" gives a splendid "psychedelic garage» "CQ" (means the "Seek You"). Today is deservedly considered the masterpiece of this direction, then was totally accepted by fans and critics, sales were almost zero. Sales of singles and began to fall, there were problems with the management. Upset Ronnie Splinter awhile even scored the music and the fall of 1969 the group disbanded. Wally Tax and Buzz Busch went to America, where he organized a group of "Tax Free", which recorded the only album of sweet ballads.
In October 1997, the group gathered in the composition of Splinter, Tax, Rammers, Busch and held reunion tour. But the following year Wally Tax left the band and was replaced by Edwin De Boer, perfectly fit into the team. In this structure the group and to this day there and performs at clubs in Holland. Wally Tax died in April 2005.
