Vol 1
1 "Obedit"
2 "Blvd Beats"
3 "Body Werk" (DJ Qu edit)
4 "Sentimentally" (DJ Qu edit)

Coming from the freshly formed Reiterate Music Group, Reiterate Vol 1 gave us four sharply reassembled funk edits. We're unsure who is responsible for the A-side cuts, but "Obedit" contrasts its orchestra of horns with subtle African rhythms and guitar, while "Blvd Beats" is a more stripped back affair, favouring tumbling latin percussion and a dusty 4/4 kick over any kind of melodic excess. On the flip, Underground Quality's DJ Qu provides two cuts on a disco tip, with "Bodywork" combining low-slung bass, symphonic 70s strings and classic synth tones, and "Sentimentally" providing an uptempo bomb with Italo undertones and jacking piano riff.

Vol 2
1 "Dinosaur" (Qu-San - Hop edit)
2 "In The Forest" (JTC edit)
3 "Holiday" (Steve-Oh edit)
4 "Avant-Mars" (Qu rework)

The first volume of the Reiterate series delivered some stunning reworks from DJ Qu, who variously turned his hand to African rhythms, off-kilter disco and obscure funk. There's more excellent scalpel work on this second installment. DJ Qu kicks things off with a heavy, dubbed-out, breathlessly percussive take on Dinosaur's disco classic "Go Bang!", before JTC turns Rafael Villafane's little-known funk rock jam "In The Forest" into a stretched-out dancefloor jam. Steve Oh delivers a subtle, intoxicating deep house version of the Bee Gees' "Holiday", before DJ Qu rounds things off with a sweaty, forthright re-edit of Liasons Dangereuses' EBM classic "Avant Apres Mars", all looped rhythms, repetitive drum machine hits and murky textures.
