Chicane (Nicholas Bracegirdle) is one of the most prolific producers, composers and hit makers of the last three decades. His dance anthems have successfully traversed from underground club culture into the commercial charts and spike instant recognition. The 'Chicane Sunsets' Radio Show is released monthly on itunes and continually reaches number 1 on the itunes DJ mix download charts. He has co-written and produced for; Cher, Natasha Beddingfield, Paul Young, William Orbit, Ferry Corston, Owl City, Kate Walsh, Christian Burns, Armin Van Burren and many more.
He has six studio albums under his belt since his seminal debut in 1997 'Far From The Maddening Crowds' which gave him his first UK top 20 chart position with the ground breaking 'Offshore' which also went in at number 5 in the Billboard charts across the Atlantic. His second album 'Behind The Sun' went gold in the UK, reached number 10 in the album charts and gave him his first number 1 single in the UK and sixteen other countries - 'Don't Give Up' a collaboration with Canadian rock/pop singer Bryan Adams. This was swiftly followed by his second top 10 single 'Saltwater' then future collaborations including that with Welsh supremo and 'The Voice' presenter Tom Jones with the club classic 'Stoned In Love'.
In 2009 Chicane released 'Poppiholla' a stunning reinterpretation of Sigur Ros's 'Hoppipolla', which originally charted just outside the top 20 in 2005. Chicane's momentous club remix beat the bands original version into the top 10, smashing in at number 7, where it stayed for 3 weeks and was used by Sky Sports as the Soundtrack for The Guinness Premiership 2009/10, was on the Radio 1 A list and played on heavy rotation across radio stations nationwide.
Recorded in the big vistas and cool clear air of the Alps, The Sum of Its Parts is probably one of his best works to date. Packed full of lush, epic synths, gentle rolling trance, dramatic breaks and tough, punchy disco. Featured vocalists include: Golden Globe winner Lisa Gerrard of Gladiator soundtrack fame, who recently completed a world tour and sold out four nights at the Royal Albert Hall, Paul Aiden, Christian Burns (BBMAK) Duane Harden (the vocalist on Armand Van Heldens 'You Don't Know Me') and former contestant on BBC's 'The Voice' Bo Bruce, who features on the second release from the album 'Still With Me' which reached number 5 in the UK club charts.
