Mallory Knox - Asymmetry (Deluxe) (2014)

Mallory Knox are proving to be rather adept at knocking out the kind of stadium-sized rock anthems that Biffy Clyro and Foo Fighters have built careers on.

Asymmetry is the Cambridge band’s second album and sees the five-piece spreading their musical wings beyond the sound of 2013 debut Signals. The band credit the production skills of Pixies producer Gil Norton for this forward momentum, as well as their own desire not to become complacent. As frontman Mikey Chapman says: “We just want to keep climbing. I fear for the day when we sit back on our laurels and say, ‘I’m OK with where we are now’.”
