Ras Mc Bean - Inlightment (2014)

For 'Inlightment' Guyanese boboshanti Ras Mc Bean (sometimes also spelled Mac Bean) joined hands with Union World Music, the Austrian label that/which/who already presented Deliman's new EP earlier this year. This is clearly the kind of album gaining momentum every time you listen to it, leaving you with a classic new roots album that leaves little to be desired. On 'Inlightment' Mc Bean alternates between rather intimate tracks ('Love Govern The Earth', 'Surrender', a lovers rock tune that lets you discover Ras Mc Bean's excellent falsetto) and more up-tempo party tunes ('Steppin Out', a duet with Ilements, 'Love The Life You Live', 'Run Run Run' and 'Run For Cover'). Successful successor to Irie Ites 'Pack Up And Leave', already dating back to 2004.
