The world’s foremost beard-related rock band, The Beards, are pleased to announce the release of their new beard-related album, fittingly entitled The Beard Album. Recorded over 2 sessions at The Grove Studios on the Central Coast, NSW, the album was co-produced by the band, engineered and co-produced by Paul Pilsneniks, who also produced the band’s ARIA-nominated third album, and mastered by Leon Zervis at 301 Studios in Sydney. The Beard Album is the band’s fourth studio album in a career that now spans 8 years, boasts sold-out national and international tours, multiple viral film-clips, and a rapidly-expanding global fanbase.
After tongue-in-cheek power-ballad opener Beards Are Back, the album quickly explodes into life, unleashing a procession of catchy-as-hell instant pop classics including live favourite I Like Beards, synth-powered belter There’s A Bearded Man Inside Me, and lead single All The Bearded Ladies, an unashamedly-pop anthem laden with feel-good hooks, stadium guitars, and soaring vocal harmonies. Elsewhere, the band’s trademark sense of humour is on show with A Bit Of My Beard, they make beards sexy again with the delicious funk of Touch Me In The Beard, and bring the album to a triumphant close with the pulsating Hey You, Grow A Beard.
The Beard Album sees the band at the top of their game, demonstrating complete control of their songwriting craft and mastering the difficult fusion of music and laugh-out-loud comedy with apparent ease. In the tradition of classic albums such as The Beatles’ White Album and Metallica’s Black Album, The Beard Album promises to be a career-defining release for music’s hairiest 4-piece.
