Long-running Brooklyn indie outfit Clap Your Hands Say Yeah continue to drop new material. Following last year’s Little Moments EP, they’re preparing for the arrival of a larger moment with the release of a new LP.
The album, which is called Only Run, will mark the proper follow-up to their 2011 effort Hysterical and their fourth proper full-length overall.
The release was conceived and recorded by the band’s Alec Ounsworth. In a press release, he said, “Lately, I’ve been assaulted by news, both distant and near, that suggests a certain sense of frustration. But Clap Your Hands Say Yeah — the entire concept of the band, the name itself — is about balancing optimism in the face of overwhelming odds.”
