Warren Kime - Two of a Kime (2020)

Rare recordings of Warren Kime (vocals and trumpet), Ed Higgins (piano), Dave Poskonka (bass) and Jack Noren (drums) playing a string of mid nineteen-fifties hits.
Hailing from Chicago, Kime played with several big bands and toured with the biggest artists of the time including Ray Anthony, Ralph Marterie, Dizzie Gillespie, Teddy Wilson, Bob Crosby, Louis Bellson, Pearl Bailey, Mel Torme and many others. Famous for the 1967 "Brass Impact" album, he was also part of the Chicago CBS orchestra and the Metropolitan Brass Quintet of Chicago.
He also recorded with first rate artists such as Nat King Cole, Jack Teagarten, Stan Getz, Quincy Jones, Doc Severinsen, Frank Sinatra, Tony Bennett, Sarah Vaughn and Perry Como.
